Who makes the hat and who decorates it?
Richardson makes the 112 and every other cap on this site. Battle Born Clothing in Yerington, Nevada buys the blanks from SanMar and S&S Activewear and does the embroidery or leather patch in-house. Custom 112 Hats is a Battle Born Clothing brand.
How much does a custom Richardson 112 hat cost?
With a leather patch: $21.00 each at 24, $20.50 at 48, $18.50 at 144, blank included. With embroidery up to 6,000 stitches: $20.50 at 24, $20.00 at 48, $18.50 at 144, plus $18.99 one-time digitizing. Full table on the pricing page.
Is there a minimum order?
No hard minimum on embroidery or leather patch. 12-23 caps price at the first tier; the next break is at 24.
How long does it take?
28 days from proof approval is standard. Rush is quoted per job; tell us the in-hands date on the quote form.
What artwork do you need?
Vector (AI, EPS, PDF, SVG) is best. A 300 dpi PNG is fine. Send quantity, cap style and color combo and your thread or patch preference. Sizes are not needed for hats.
Do I get a proof?
Yes. Every order gets a digital proof before production, with the stitch count or patch shape and size. Nothing sews until you approve it.
What is the difference between a 112 and a 112FP?
The 112 is six-panel with a center seam on the front. The 112FP is five-panel with one seamless front panel, which takes patches up to about 4 in wide.
Can you do 3D puff on a 112?
Yes, on bold shapes. It is quoted per design. The 511 flat bill and 168 are the best Richardson caps for puff.
Can I mix colors in one order?
Yes, at no charge, as long as the logo stays the same. Tier pricing is by total quantity per style.
Do you decorate rope caps?
Yes. The Richardson 258 and 256 Umpqua take a leather patch or embroidery above the rope. Decoration pricing is the same as the 112; the blank is quoted per job.
Glued or sewn patch?
Glued is standard and uses our proprietary heat bond on a two-platen hat press. Sewn adds a stitch line around the edge for $1.00 more per cap.
Can you decorate hats I already own?
Yes. Customer-supplied caps are the decoration price plus $2.00 per item handling. We allow about 4 percent spoilage on supplied goods, aim for zero, and cannot replace caps we did not supply.
Is digitizing charged every order?
No. $18.99 once per logo. Reorders of the same logo pay nothing.
What if you make a mistake?
Free redo on our own errors. Misspelling, wrong placement, wrong thread color against the approved proof: we fix it at no charge.
Do you ship nationwide?
Yes, from Yerington, Nevada to anywhere in the US. Freight is quoted with the order.
Can you add a side logo or back text?
Yes. Side-hit embroidery and back arch text are second locations quoted per job. Each new design is digitized once at $18.99.
Does the 112 come in XL or youth?
Yes, the 112XL and 112Y. Decoration price is the same; the blank is quoted per job. Our sizing guide explains the split.
What color combos can I get?
100+ on the standard 112: solids, two-tone and tri-color, all at the same blank price. Camo is the 112P/112PFP, a separate style. We check stock at SanMar Reno before quoting.
Do you do Carhartt, Nike or OGIO caps?
Yes. Battle Born Clothing is an authorized decorator for Carhartt, Nike and OGIO. Those blanks are quoted per job with brand pricing respected.
Can a reseller or agency order under their own label?
Yes. Unbranded proofs on request, and we can ship to your customer's address on request. Published per-cap prices apply.
Do you offer online team stores?
No. We take one order with one ship-to address, or a split shipment quoted per job.
