Richardson 112 vs 115 vs 168: which trucker cap to order

Three Richardson truckers, three crown heights. The 112 is mid profile and the standard. The 115 sits lower. The 168 is a tall seven-panel. Battle Born Clothing decorates all three; this is how we help buyers choose.

Richardson 112: order this unless you have a reason not to

The 112 is widely recognized. It fits most adults, comes in the most color combos, and is usually in stock at one of our supplier warehouses. Its one limit is the front center seam: patches over about 2.5 in wide show a ridge. Standard logos and wordmarks have no problem.

Richardson 115: lower crown, same look

Pick the 115 when your crowd prefers a cap that does not sit tall. Breweries, coffee shops and lifestyle brands order it; it fits smaller heads better and reads less "work crew." The trade-off is a shorter front panel, so logos should be wide and short. A stacked crest that fits a 112 may need to shrink on a 115.

Richardson 168: tall front for big artwork

The 168 has a single tall seamless front panel. It is the cap for a 4 in wide leather patch, a tall crest, or a big puffed wordmark. Ranch brands, rodeo, breweries with a shield logo and race teams order it. It sits high on the head and looks like it; some buyers love that, some do not.

Price difference

Decoration costs the same on all three. The 112 blank is $13.50; the 115 and 168 blanks are quoted per job and are usually within a couple of dollars of the 112. For a 48-cap patch order, the 112 is $20.50 all-in; expect the others to land close to that. See pricing.

Questions

Is the 112FP a better choice than the 168 for a wide patch?

If you want mid profile, yes. The 112FP is a 112 with a seamless five-panel front that takes patches up to about 4 in wide. The 168 is for buyers who also want the taller crown.

Does the 115 come in youth?

No. Youth is the Richardson 112Y. See our sizing guide.
